Coronavirus cases rise to 61 in country

Five more persons have been found to be infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, taking the number of the confirmed cases to 61.

Health and Family Welfare Minister ZahidMaleque disclosed this on Friday. The minister joined the regular press briefing of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).

IEDCR on Thursday said two more persons had been found to be infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, taking the number of the confirmed cases to 56.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed to collect at least two samples from each upazila, it also said.
