Coronavirus spreads to 55 districts

Coronavirus or COVID-19 has so far spread to 55 districts across the country, said Prof. Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (admin) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

She came up with the disclosure while speaking at the regular press briefing on Wednesday (April 22).

Dr Nasima Sultana said, "COVID-19 patients have been detected in 55 out of 65 districts in the country."

73 percent of those infected with coronavirus in the country is from Dhaka division, she said.

She cited four districts of Dhaka division which saw more infections and the districts are Narayanganj, Gazipur, Kishorganj and Narsingdi.
