Until further instruction, people travelling to Bangladesh from abroad will have to get health clearance from those countries from now on whether they are infected with coronavirus or not.
The instruction has been given as part of precautionary measures to combat the deadly virus.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen came up with the instruction at the inaugural ceremony of the “8th National SME Product Fair 2020” at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital on Thursday (March 5).
The foreign minister said, “We are lucky that no one is still found to be detected with coronavirus or COVID-19 here in Bangladesh. I am urging people wishing to travel to Bangladesh to ensure that they are not infected with the virus. For this, they will have to get health clearance from those countries.”
