‘Corruptor involved in mask corruption to be brought to book’

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud said that the corruptor involved in mask or Personal protective equipment (PPE) corruption will be brought to book.

The chief of watchdog made the opinion through a press release on Thursday (June 18).

He said, “Important items like mask or PPE are involved with the lives doctors, nurses or health workers. So, those who were involved with corruption while buying these safety items, will be brought to book.”

A four-member probe team was formed to conduct investigation against the culprits who were involved with corruption in buying N95 masks and PPE.

ACC director Mir Joynul Abedin Shibly will lead the team. The other members of the committee are Deputy Director Nurul Huda, Assistant Director Md Saiduzzaman and Ataur Rahman.
