Councillor Rajib and Mizan remanded

A Dhaka court has placed DNCC ward councillor Tarequzzaman Rajib and Habibur Rahman Mizan on remand.

Rajib remanded for four days while Mizan five days.

Metropolitan Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayes passed the order on Thursday.

Rapid Action Battalionn (RAB) arrested Rajib from one of his friends’ home in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential Area on October 19 in a raid carried out as part their ongoing drive against graft.

Mizan, councillor of Ward No-32 was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on early October 11 from Sreemangal of Moulvibazar. Meanwhile, a fire arms and four rounds of bullets were recovered from the spot.
