Court issues stay order on newly formed JCD committee

A Dhaka court has issued an interim stay order on all kinds of activities of the newly formed committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD).

Alongside, the court also issued show cause notice to the new JCD President Fazlur Rahman Khokon and Secretary General Iqbal Hossain Shyamal to reply within 7 days.

Judge Nusrat Jahan Bithi of the fourth assistant judge’s court of Dhaka passed the order on Monday.

The court handed down the order following a petition filed by recently departing JCD central committee religion affairs secretary Aman Ullah.

The court officer (Serestadar) Abdur Rashid confirmed the news.
