Court orders to confiscate wealth of PK Halder, 19 others

The High Court on Tuesday ordered to confiscate wealth of International Leasing and Finance Service Limited Director Prashanta Kumar Halder and 19 others in a case filed for money laundering.  

The bench of Justice Mohammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar passed the order on Tuesday.

Other accused in the case are – the company director M Nurul Alam, director Jahirul Alam, Nasim Anwar, Basudeb Banarjee, Papia Banarjee, Momtaz Begum, Nowsherul Islam, Anwarul Kabir, Engineer Nuruzzaman, Abul Hasem, MA Hasem, Md Rashedul Haque, PK Halder’s mother Lilaboti Haldar, wife Sushmita Saha, brother Pritush Kumar Haldar, cousin Amitabh Adhikari, Avijit Adhikar, Bank Asia’s former director Irfan Uddin Ahmed and PK Halder’s friend Uzzal Kumar Nandi.

The court also ordered the authority concerned to seize passports of the accused.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against PK Halder on 8 January on charges of amassing assets worth Tk 275 crore.
