Covid-19 cases cross 81,000-mark in India

India recorded 3,967 fresh COVID-19 cases with 100 more deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in India has crossed 81,000-mark with 81,970 cases and 2,549 deaths.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country, with 27,524 cases and 1000 deaths.

Tamil Nadu overtook Gujarat, becoming the second worst-hit state by COVID-19 with 9,674 cases.

Gujarat and Delhi have reported a total of 9,591 and 7,233 positive cases respectively.
