Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said, the tour in Pakistan will depend on the green signal from the government and wishes of the players.

According to the Future Tours Programme (FTP), Bangladesh is scheduled to play three Test matches and two T20s in Pakistan in January. But, the tour is still pending due to security issue.

BCB is interested to send the team to Pakistan to play the three T20s. But, the cricket authority of Bangladesh wants a neutral venue for Test matches. Bangladesh don’t want to keep the players in Pakistan for a long time. However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) rejected the proposal.

In this situation, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon said, many cricketers are not agreed to play even T20 matches in Pakistan! Their families are not supporting the issue.

He also said, “We did not ask anyone to go Pakistan forcefully. We wanted their opinion. Many of them said that they can go there for a short time. Parents, relatives of them are in tensed over the tour.”

Not only the cricketers but also the coaching staff put questions over the Pakistan tour, added the BCB president.
