Many of the candidates who were supposed to attend the recruitment tests for the sepoy post of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate were allegedly barred from entering exam centres.
The incident took place at the centre of Motijheel Ideal School and College on Friday.
Candidates alleged that they were barred from entering the exam centre although they appeared at the centre before the time scheduled for the physical test.
Shahjahan Islam Shaon, a candidate who came from Gaibandha to attend the test, said, “We had been waiting in front of the centre since 7:00 am. We were 500 to 700 in number waiting outside. We communicated with police present there. They said they had a direction from the upper side not to allow candidates for the entry into the centre after 8:00am. But our scheduled time for the entry was fixed at 8:30am.”
