Cyclone Bulbul: 10 navy ships, medical team kept ready

Bangladesh Navy has kept ready some 10 ships with huge relief materials at to carry out rescue operation after cyclone ‘Bulbul’.
ISPR assistant director Rashedul Alam said that five ships were kept ready at Barishal, Jhalakathi, Patuakhali, Barguna and Satkhira districts. Besides, two ships at Chattogram and St Martine.
The ships have been kept ready so that they can lunch rescue operations and distribute life-saving supplies at the coastal areas immediately after the primary impact of the cyclone. Already, BNS Somudra Joy and BNS Somudra Avijan are currently anchored at St. Martine Island.
Some 2000 packets of foods will be distributed at Barishal, Jhalakathi, Patuakhali, Barguna, Satkhira coastal areas through the ships from Khulna naval base.
