Dhaka-Kolkata-Agartala bus service started
Staff Correspondent: The trail run of bus services between India`s Kolkata and Agartala of Tripura via Bangladesh`s Dhaka has been kicked off from Monday morning.
The bus has been departed from Kolkata`s Saltlake International Bus Terminal around 9am local time.
It is scheduled to reach Agartala in Tripura via Dhaka on Tuesday (tomorrow).
As per the schedule, the bus will ply the route three times in a week while it will be started from Kolkata on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and back from Agartala on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
A total of ten officials are in the bus along with their some service officials while the bus is being run led by Akhil Roy, the IG of West Bengal police (border).
Earlier this month, in a bid to boost the communication between two neighboring countries-India and Bangladesh, the trial movement of a new bus service between Dhaka and Guwahati via Shillong has also been kicked off.
