‘Dhaka doesn’t have info regarding arrest of Risaldar Moslem’

Foreign Minister Dr. AKM Abdul Momen and Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said Dhaka does not have any information regarding the arrest of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman’s killer Rasaldar Moslem Uddin.

Dr. AKM Abdul Momen on Thursday (June 18) noon told risingbd, “We have no information regarding his arrest. Letters were sent to Bangladesh High Commission in India and Deputy Commission getting information from media over the arrest. But, they did not inform us officially yet.”

Similarly, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, “We have no such information. Then, how he was handed over to us? We are not informed about the issue from the state level yet.”

However, some Indian news media including the daily Anandabazar reported that Moslem Uddin was arrested from a village in Uttar Chabbish Pargana in India. The reports also said Indian detectives informed Dhaka over the issue.

Following the issue, Chief of Counter Terrorism Unit Monirul Islam said, we would inform media if we get such news. Earlier, we had disclosed media after detention of Mazed.
