Dhanmondi double murder: 5 accused put on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed five accused on five-day remand each in a case filed over the murder of a woman and her domestic help in the city’s Dhanmondi area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan passed the order on Tuesday.

The accused are- Suravi Aktar Nahida, Belayet Hossain, Gausul Azam Prince, Nuruzzaman and Bacchu.

Earlier, DB police inspector Md Rabiul Alam produced the accused before the court seeking 10 days remand.

On November 1, the bodies of Afroza Begum, 65, and Bithi, 19, a domestic help, were recovered from a flat on the third floor of house No 21, on road 28
