Staff Correspondent: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that the government is involved in the incidents of enforced disappearance in the country.
It is impossible to happen disappearance and crossfire incidents without government’s involvement, he said.
The BNP leader came up with the remarks at a press conference held at the party’s Nayapaltan office on Friday marking the International Day of the Disappeared.
“The incidents of enforced disappearance have been taking place in Bangladesh over the last few years... families of all the victims are saying their near ones have been picked up by members of law enforcement agencies” , he said.
He also claimed that the government has made 1 209 people disappear in Bangladesh from 2009 using the law enforcement agencies.
