Doctor dies of coronavirus

A doctor has died of coronavirus or COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka.

The doctor was Moyeen Uddin and died early Wednesday (April 15), confirmed Ayesha Akter, an assistant director at the health directorate.

Ayesha Akter said the doctor had been undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital since April 9.

Moyeen Uddin was a physician of Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.

On April 5, Dr Moyeen Uddin tested positive for coronavirus. He was taken at the isolation unit of Sylhet Shaheed Shamsuddin Hospital on April 7 when his condition started deteriorating. From there, he was shifted to Dhaka as per the decision of his family members.
