Dr Sabrina produced before court again

After the second phase remand, JKG Health Care Chairman and cardiac surgeon of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury has been produced before a Dhaka court.

She was produced around 12.00pm on Monday at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqul Islam.

On July 13, a Dhaka court placed Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury on a three-day remand in a fraud case filed for allegedly issuing fake Covid-19 results and charging patients for the test.

On July 17, the court again placed Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury on a two-day remand in the fraud case filed.

On July 12, a team of Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested JKG Health Care Chairman Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury over her alleged involvement in issuing fake coronavirus results.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JKG Ariful Haque Chowdhury, also the husband of Dr Sabrina Chowdhury, has already been arrested over fraudulence in Covid-19 sample test and report delivery.
