Dreamliner `Sonar Tori’ arrives in Dhaka

A new Dreamliner named `Sonar Tori’ Boeing 787-9 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday evening.

The aircraft arrived in the airport at 6:03pm.

Biman's Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) Tahera Khandakar said, another plane named ‘Achin Pakhi’ is scheduled to arrive in the country on December 24.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate officially the two planes ‘Sonar Tori and Achin Pakhi on December 28. Meanwhile, the premier will also launch mobile apps of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on that day.

Earlier, `Sonar Tori’ left Boeing's Everett factory in Seattle at 12.30pm (local time) on Friday.
