The 21-day lockdown at East Rajabazar in the capital is coming to an end on Tuesday midnight.
Local ward councillor Faridur Rahman confirmed the matter.
He said lockdown helps improving overall situation in the area. The number of infection has reduced. Details will be informed in a briefing after 10:00pm.
East Rajabazar went under experimental lockdown for 14 days as red zone from night of June 9. On June 23, it was extended for another 7 days.
Since lockdown started, a total of 307 people gave samples for the coronavirus test at a local booth set up at Naznin School and College. Of them, 55 were found positive for coronavirus until June 27.
