Ekushey Book Fair ends today

The month-long Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2020, which witnessed a huge crowd of booklovers, writers and visitors, ends today (Saturday).

The last day of the book fair was opened at 11.00am and will end at 9.00pm.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the book fair as the chief guest on February 2.

This year, the land earmarked for the fair was expanded to 800,000 square ft. A total of 873 units were allocated to the 560 organisations.

Like the previous years, stalls for the mainstream publishing houses have been built inside the Suhrawardy Udyan while government organisations and the Bangla Academy stalls have been placed on the Bangla Academy premises.

The authorities allotted 179 units on the Bangla Academy ground to 126 organisatons and 694 at the Suhrawardy Udyan to 694 organisations.
