Enamul Basir denied bail in graft case

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) on Tuesday did not grant bail to suspended director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Khandaker Enamul Basir in a case filed over the transection of TK 40 lakh as bribe.
The HC bench of Justice Farid Ahmed and Justice ASM Abdul Mobin returned the bail petition of Enamul back to its lawyer.
ACC lawyer Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan confirmed the matter to risingbd.
Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan stood for the ACC while Barrister Ruhul Kuddus Kajal moved for Enamul.
On July 16, ACC Director Sheikh Md Fanafillah filed the case against Enamul with the ACC’s Dhaka District Coordination Office-1 under the anti-money laundering act, on charges of taking Tk 40 lakh in bribe from suspended DIG Mizanur Rahman.
