Tuhin Miah, a five-year-old boy whose body was found hanging from a tree in Sunamganj with brutal marks of injury on Monday, was killed by his father, uncle and cousin.
Sunamganj Police Superintendent Md Mizanur Rahman made the assertion while addressing a press conference at the office of police super on Tuesday evening.
Following the murder, the court placed Tuhin’s Baser Miah and two others on three-day remand for their involvement in the brutal killing.
SP Mizanur Rahman said, "The minor Tuhin was killed mercilessly in Kejaura village of Rajanagar union in Dirai. We took the issue seriously.”
He also said, “Based on the initial suspicion, couple of persons including father, uncle of the kid were taken to police station for questioning. They confessed their involvement during interrogation.”
Family members have killed the boy. We have come to know about many things over the murder but will not release the detailed information for the sake of investigation."
