Female cabin crew arrested with gold bars remanded

Staff Correspondent: A female cabin crew of US-Bangla Airlines, who was arrested with 10 kilograms gold bars, has been remanded.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim placed Rokeya Sheikh Mousumi on a two-day remand on Friday.

Earlier, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Airport Police Station Safiqul Islam, also Investigation Officer (IO), produced her before the court and sought a 10-day remand.

Mentionable, Mousumi was arrested with 82 gold bars weighing 10 kilograms, worth Tk 5 crore, on Thursday.

She was on duty in a flight of US-Bangla Airlines from Moscow to Dhaka.
