Fire at Nirbachan Bhaban: 6-member probe body formed

Staff Correspondent: A six-member committee has been formed to investigate the fire incident at Nirbachan Bhaban that took place on Sunday.
Deputy Secretary to the Election Commission Rashedul Islam confirmed the formation of the committee on Monday morning.
Additional Secretary of the Election Commission Mokhlesur Rahman will head the committee.
The committee has been asked to submit its report within three working days.
Earlier, on Sunday, a fire broke out at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the city’s Agargaon area. The fire originated on the basement around 11:00pm.
On information, 12 firefighting units rushed in and brought the fire under control around 12:30 am on Monday.
