Foreigners to get 3-month visa extension facility

Bangladesh government has decided to extend three-month visa facility to foreign nationals who came here for tourism or other activities, according to sources of Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The sources said the decision will be effective from March 16.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already issued a letter to different embassies, high commissions, United Nation (UN) organisations and international organisations in Dhaka.

According to the letter, foreign nationals who have been residing in Bangladesh would be able to extend their visa expiration for additional three months.

Besides, visitors from coronavirus affected countries must have been quarantined for two weeks.

Mentionable, Bangladesh suspended flights from different countries of the world to prevent spreading coronavirus infection.

Bangladesh also cancelled all flights from countries of European Union (EU) except the United Kingdom (UK) due to coronavirus outbreak. On-arrival visas have temporarily been suspended.
