‘Formulate rule to assess exam scripts of the disabled’

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) on Monday directed the authorities concerned of the government to formulate a rule in three months for the assessment of answer scripts of students with physical challenges in public examinations.

The HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader delivered the verdict following a writ petition filed by Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Mostafizur Rahman.

Secretaries to the ministries of Education and Social Welfare, chairman of all education boards and their exam controller have been ordered to implement the directives.

Earlier in 2017, Advocate Mostafizur Rahman filed the writ petition with the High Court seeking its direction to formulate a guideline for the assessment of answer scripts of students with physical challenges in public examinations.
