G K Shamim’s wife files petition to unfreeze bank account

G K Shamim’s wife Shamima Sultana has filed a petition to unfreeze one of her bank accounts.

Advocate Showkat Osman on behalf of Shamima Sultana filed the petition to the court of Dhaka senior special judge KM Imrul Kayes on Tuesday.

According to the petition, Shmima Sultana is a government service holder. Her monthly salary adds to the account which was frozen for nothing as she is not any accused in the case. So, she requested the court seeking order to unfreeze her account.

After hearing, the court ordered the Investigation Officer (IO) to submit report in this conncetion on April 13.

Anti-Corruption Commission on October 21, 2019, filed the case against GK Shamim and his mother Ayesha Akter for amassing illegal wealth of Tk 297.08 crore.
