Gaibandha-3 MP passes away

Awami League lawmaker Dr Yunus Ali Sarker (Gaibandha-3) passed away at a city hospital on Friday morning at the age of 66.

Yunus Ali breathed his last around 9.00am at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University while undergoing treatment there.

“Dr Yunus Ali was suffering from cancer,” senior vice-president of Sadullapur Upazila unit of AL Khandaker Zillur Rahman said, adding Yunus Ali was a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

He left behind wife, two sons and a host of relatives, followers and well-wishers to mourn his death.
