Gas line explosion: Victims’ families to get Tk one lakh each

Chattogram City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin has said the city corporation will give Tk one lakh each to the families of the persons who were killed in a gas pipeline explosion at Patharghata in Chattogram.

The injured persons will get Tk 20,000 each for their treatment.

Mayor made the announcement on Sunday.

Earlier, Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Muhibul Hasan Nowfel announced to give Tk 10,000 each to the families of the persons who were killed in the incident.

At least seven people were killed and 25 other injured as a wall of a building collapsed after a gas pipeline explosion at Patharghata in Chattogram on Sunday morning.
