Global death toll from coronavirus passes 114,000

The global death toll from novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has risen to 114,247 and the number of people infected with the fast-spreading virus now stands at 1,853,155.

The lethal virus has already affected 210 countries and territories around the world and 2 international conveyances: the Diamond Princess cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan, and the Holland America's MS Zaandam cruise ship.

Around 423,625 coronavirus patients have so far recovered after receiving treatment suggested for the virus and been discharged from hospitals.
