Global death toll from coronavirus rises to 3,600

The global death toll from the lethal coronavirus or Covid-19 has risen to 3,600 and the number of people infected with the virus across the world stands at over 106,200.

The virus has spread to 103 countries and territories.

So far, 60,190 patients have recovered and been discharged for the hospitals.
China's National Health Commission reported 27 new deaths from the coronavirus today, bringing the global death toll to 3,600 since the epidemic began.

The total number of deaths in mainland China is now 3,097, the vast majority of which have been in Hubei province -- ground zero for the outbreak. The total number of confirmed infections in China is now 80,696
