Google Doodle celebrates Pahela Baishakh

Staff Correspondent: Google‘s new Doodle Saturday featured a parade of colorful banners in the shape of an elephant and Mangal Shobhajatra, in celebration of Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the Bengali calendar.
Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google’s homepage that is intended to celebrate holidays, events, achievements and people and have been so since 1998.
Earlier, Google made a doodle in honour of Bangladesh’s Independence Day this year.
