Govt collecting one lakh testing kits, 10 lakh PPE

The government is collecting one lakh coronavirus testing kits and 10 lakh Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad, director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), came up with the information at a regular press briefing at Mohakhali in the capital on Thursday.

“Some coronavirus testing kits will come from China tomorrow. We have taken huge preparation.  We are collecting one lakh coronavirus testing kits and 10 lakh Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We will collect more if it is necessary”, said Dr Abul Kalam Azad.

He also said three more people have been found to be infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) in Bangladesh, raising the current number of confirmed cases to 17.
