The government has issued 11 directives to restrict movement of people until August 3 to stem the spread of coronavirus.
The cabinet division issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
The directives include: Not to go out of home unless from 10:00pm to 5:00am unless extreme emergency; to shut shops by 7:00pm;
Government, autonomous and private offices, banks and financial institutions, business and commerce, factories and service institutions will remain open in compliance with health regulations issued by the Department of Health Services;
All types of vehicles including public transport will run in compliance with health regulations issued by the Health Department;
No educational institution can be kept open at this time. However, online courses / distance learning will continue. Educational institutions will be able to carry out administrative functions.
Meetings, public gatherings and events will remain closed during this time. Following instructions of Ministry of Religious Affairs, prayers can be offered in the mosque and prayers can be conducted in other religious places of worship.
