Govt sets office hours for Ramadan

The government has fixed office hours for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan from 9:00am to 3:30pm for all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous institutions.
The decision was taken at a regular cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, at Ganabhaban on Monday.
Sources of the Cabinet Division confirmed the news.
The holy month of Ramadan is likely to begin on April 25 based on moon sighting. Currently, the office timing is from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
As per the new schedule, there will be a 15-minute break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm for Zohr prayers.
