Govt to file case if female workers tortured in abroad

The government is considering to file case from now when Bangladeshi female worker will be tortured in abroad.

According to a diplomatic source, the government has already issued a set of instructions to take measures in this regard.

The government took the decision after strong criticism sparked from several incidents of torturing Bangladeshi female workers in Saudi Arabia.

It was learnt that in the meetings of Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare on November 25 and the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 27 recommended to take steps in this regard.
