Govt to find out any conspiracy behind onion price hike: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the government will find out the persons who are behind the onion prices skyrocket.

The Prime Minister said this while addressing the 3rd national council of Awami Swechchhasebak League, an associate body and the volunteer wing of the Bangladesh Awami League, at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan on Saturday.

The government has recently taken an initiative to import onion by cargo aircrafts. Then, the government will supply onion to retail markets across the country. The first cargo aircraft of onion imported from Egypt will arrive in Dhaka on Monday, she said.
