Govt to provide assistance to bring back Khoka’s body

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said that the government will provide all kinds of facilities to bring back the body of BNP leader Sadek Hossain Khoka.

Obaidul Quader said this while replying to a question of newsmen during a program at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Monday afternoon.

Sadeque Hossain Khoka died around 1.00pm on Monday (Bangladesh time) while undergoing treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA. The validity of his passport expired two years ago. He submitted application to the embassy to increase passport validity but did not get response. Now travel document is required to bring back his body to Dhaka.

Following issue, Obaidul Quader said, “We don’t have issue with dead person. We have expressed shock at the demise of him.”

“If there is no problem in New York, then we don’t any problems. Our foreign minister already told media about it. The government will provide all kinds of assistance,” he added.
