Grandpa electrocuted trying to save grandson

Satkhira Correspondent: An elderly man was electrocuted while trying to save his grandson from electric shock at Thanaghata village of Sadar upazila in Satkhira on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Parbesh Sardar, 60, son of late Alim Uddin, hailed from Thanaghata village.

Family sources said that the victim’s grandson Piash, 13, came contact with a live wire this morning. Hearing the shouting, grandfather rushed to the spot to save Piash and he also came in contact with the electric wire, which leaves Parbesh Sardar died on the spot and injured Piash critically.

Later, the injured Piash was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.

Satkhira Sadar Hospital doctor Mahabubur Rahman confirmed the matter.
