HC halts Wills Little Flower governing body polls

The High Court (HC) has halted Wills Little Flower School and College governing body election for three months.

Alongside, the court issued a rule against the authority concern asking as to why guardians of Enlighs Medium Branch of the institution would not be included to the voter list.

The HC bench of Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order on Tuesday.

Senior lawyer Advocate AJ Mohammad Ali moved for the writ petition while Deputy Attorney General Amit Talukder, Wayes Al Haruni and Assistant Attorney General Ashiq Rubaiyat represented the government.

Mentionable, the election was scheduled to be held on September 28.

A guardian of a student of English Medium Branch filed the writ petition.
