HC orders providing PPEs to pvt hospital doctors

The High Court (HC) has directed the authorities concerned to provide necessary personal protection equipments (PPE) to the doctors, nurses and health workers serving at private hospitals or clinics in a bid to protect them from being infected with coronavirus.

A virtual HC bench led by Justice Obaidul Hasan passed the order on Monday (May 18) following a writ petition filed by Advocate Manzil Morshed on behalf of Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh on May 11.

The court also ordered the authorities concerned to submit a report regarding various steps taken by the advisory committee formed to prevent coronavirus and their recommendations within next seven days.
