HSC admission process to begin soon: Edu Minister

The admission process for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent programmes for the 2020-21 academic session at colleges across the country will start very soon although it is being delayed due to coronavirus or Covid-19.

“Admission policy-2020 has already been formulated for the 2020-21 academic session. Admission process for the HSC and equivalent programmes for the 2020-21 academic session is being delayed due to coronavirus. But it will begin after taking a decision very soon in this regard,” Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni told the parliament while replying to a question made from Dhaka-10 lawmaker Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin on Thursday (July 9).

In reply to another question made from Jatiya Party lawmaker M Fakhrul Imam (Mymensingh-8), Dipu Moni said, “All educational institutions have remained closed so that students do not get infected with coronavirus. But the education ministry has adopted many initiatives to keep the students connected to learning.”
