Hearing on Khaleda’s bail plea today

The High Court (HC) will hear today a petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking bail in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case.

The HC bench of Justice Obaidul Hassan and Justice AKM Zahirul Huq is scheduled to hear the petition.

Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed and Advocate Zainul Abedin will stand for Khaleda during the hearing in the court.

Lawyers for Khaleda Zia on February 18 filed a bail petition with the HC in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case, citing her illness.

Khaleda Zia has been in jail since February 8, 2018 for in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
