Home Minister suggests to verify list of Razakars

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has suggested the Liberation War Affairs Minister to publish the list of Razakar again after scrutinizing names of it.

While talking to reporters at a programme in the capital, the home minister said that the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs should have verified the information before publishing the list.

On December 15, the government published the names of 10,789 Razakars who collaborated with the Pakistan occupation army in carrying out mass killings and atrocities against the Bangalees during the 1971 Liberation War. 
But the official list of Razakars drew huge criticisms as the name of a Language Movement veteran and war-wounded freedom fighter among others is there in it.
