ICT Division to launch virtual university

The ICT Division will launch a virtual university to build skilled human resources.

State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak made the disclosure while inaugurating a training programme virtually on Tuesday.

He said a virtual university of multimedia and innovation will be launched soon to expand commercial activities by building skilled human resources in the changed circumstances. There will be IBA certificate course in the university.

Zunaid Ahmed Palak said Covid-19 is changing commercial activities by accelerating 4th industrial revolution. So no matter what profession or position we hold, everyone needs to know about cutting edge technology. We are becoming adapted very quickly to new types of global change. We need to be able to use AI, robotics, big data and other technologies in every field at the individual, institutional and state level in technology services.

He said for the last 100 days, I have been intellectually connected even from a social distance. Nothing of our business, education, office are lagging behind.

He further said internet use has increased by 50 percent of users amid corona outbreak. Commercial use has increased by 50 percent. More than 5 million mobile bank accounts have been opened.
