I also want the trial of miscreants:Maya

Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya on Wednesday said that he also wanted the trial of those involved in connection with the Narayanganj seven murders including Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker.

 

The minister came up with the comments while briefing to a group of reporters after a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador in Dhaka Abdullah bin Nasser Al Basiri, at the ministry secretariat, in the capital.

 

Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya also offered all kinds of his assistances for the trial of the accused in the seven murders.

 

“Whoever they, I also want the trial of the miscreants, those who were involved in this connection,” Maya added.

 

Responding to a question, the embattle minister also confirmed “If my cooperation is sought from the authorities concerned, I will extend my help regarding the killing incidents.”

 

At the meeting with the minister, the Saudi Ambassador handed over 150 metric tonnes of Saudi dates provided by the Saudi government that will be distributed among the poor in Bangladesh during the upcoming Ramadan.
