Immigration through Tamabil-Dawki border suspended

Immigration through Tamabil customs station in Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet and Dawki of Meghalaya in India came to a sudden halt on Friday after a curfew was imposed in India’s Meghalaya, Shilong and other areas.

Sylhet division Superintendent (SP) of Police and Media Officer Md Aminul Islam said, immigration through the port is suspended due to security issue.

Besides, Tamabil land port traffic division additional director Partho Ghos said, transportation of goods was also suspended from this evening.
