BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has termed the government move of imposing fees for coronavirus test as anti-people decision.
He said, ‘Bangladesh is now a model to the world for corruption. Because the government has become a role model by stealing gold from the ‘gold medal’ and again stealing relief rice allocated for people infected by coronavirus and trading of substandard masks.’
The BNP stalwart made the remarks while speaking online briefing at the party’s central office in the capital on Saturday.
Rizvi said, ‘The decision of charging Tk 200 for coronavirus test is surprising. When the economic crisis is at its peak, there is no food in people’s houses, they are embracing death after failing to get treatment in different hospitals, then the anti-people decision was taken.’
