India ready to give befitting reply if instigated: Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned China and said the sacrifices of his country’s soldiers will not go in vain.

Modi said, “India wants peace but it is capable to give a befitting reply at any situation if instigated.”

Indian PM came up the warning in a brief speech on Wednesday, after the Indo-Chinese military clash in the Galwan Valley.

He said, “We are proud of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in confrontation with China. I want to assure the nation that the sacrifices of our soldiers will not go in vain. Unity and sovereignty of the country are most important for us.”

Modi has called an all-party meeting to discuss over Galwan Valley situation. The virtual meeting is expected to be held at 5:00pm on Friday.
