India reports over 14,500 Covid-19 cases in a day

India registered as many as 14,516 fresh cases of coronavirus or Covid-19 in last 24 hours which is the highest single-day surge of confirmed cases, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday (June 20) morning.

With the surge in positive cases of the coronavirus infection, the total number of infected persons in India has mounted to 3,95,048.

Besides, the country reported 375 new deaths over the same period, raising the death toll to 12,948.

Of the total cases, 2,13,831 have been successfully treated while one case has been migrated from the country. There are 1,68,269 active cases of Covid-19 in India.
